My favorite knitting christmas bag is one by Bagsmith, it has a folding metal frame and pockets inside and out, with ones large enough for a pattern, and some for needles on the outside and inside pockets there are clear backpack for yarn, more needles, etc. It comes in both black and natural and has an carrying strap that is adjustable in length.
